I thought I would put this post up today as it has really inspired me. A friend sent me this in an email, and I believe it was sent to me 'at the right time'. I don't know who the author is, so apologise for not being able to mention them here. There are times in our lives when we need to be motivated, and the universe senses that and then sends someone or something to give you that motivation…..

Uriel's Message — Take Inspired Action

What inspires you? What moves you to take action, to focus your energy towards a specific goal? What are you so passionate about that you forget your doubts and fears and move forward with clarity of thought and purpose? Do you act only when you feel you must or are forced to and therefore react to situations? Or do you take action in order to avoid potentially difficult situations? Learning to take inspired action and to use your own intuitive knowing will help you step into the flow and draw you closer to your desired outcome with effortless grace and ease, into a reality unfolding with peace, joy and abundance.

Inspired action is action that is taken with confidence and knowing that a particular step is the right one to take. Learning to use your guidance and intuition to decide when to take the next step and in which direction to go creates a balance between mind and spirit that utilizes the best of your learning and experience to create the possibility of a new reality. How do you know when action is inspired? When you feel calm, at peace and are not afraid. This is when the results flow and you only have to think about what you want and the opportunities present themselves effortlessly.

Moving from the mind limits action to re-action because the mind responds from its past knowing and learning, so all it can create is a replay of past experiences. Learning to recognize inspiration, where you act from the new information and knowing provided by the world around you, requires that you trust in your own personal competence and are willing to try what is new and different, even if it is something that you have never done before. Have you asked for guidance and the answer is a step into the unknown? Trust that your guidance will always lead you to the path of highest and greatest fulfilment, and into effortless creation.

Effortlessness will be the new energy of life when you learn to take inspired action, because you act in partnership with those around you, in the direction and on the path that are perfect for you. This is life lived with divine influence, that you trust in the Universe to fulfil every need within each moment. You move from destiny to creation and act from the heart's desire for your highest good. Now is the time to take inspired action in your life, to do what your heart tells you is right for you and to learn to accept that effortlessness is the way of the Universe. Choose an area of your life you want to change, ask for guidance and commit to accepting the challenge to trust and act from the point of this inspired guidance. Be still and know that you are loved and supported, be open to receiving the blessings of joy, peace and abundance and commit yourself to your underlying desire for wholeness and to know your true self.

Then be at peace, and be inspired.

Young, Free and Eighteen

Not me! My son. He turned 18 yesterday and seeing the twinkle in his eyes and hearing him speak about his age and what it means to turn eighteen made me look at my life and the things I have done since turning eighteen, that magical age when the rest of society determine that you are a young adult.

Let’s see, I have worked for corporate UK, it took me 15 years into my working life and having two kids, a mortgage and loads of credit card debt before I figured out that there was something better in working for yourself than working for someone else.

It then took me another 4 years before I had the courage to leave my corporate job and begin to work for myself. What a waste of four years, I should have left earlier

Being an entrepreneur, working from home has not been easy, it has been a marathon not a sprint, an epic journey one of love, hate, soul searching and lots of learning / coaching. You make mistakes, let’s face it all of us make mistakes, but its what you do after you make your mistakes, learning lessons are the biggest part of growing and learning.

Taking time out to reflect what has happened in your past as well as planning your future this is really important. Something which Jim Rohn one whom I regard as a great philosopher has taught.

If I was eighteen all over again, I would have changed the part of my life where I discovered it was better to work for myself, and I would have taken action sooner not later….

If you have thought about working for yourself, I would advocate don’t just hink of it, take action. Look at your talents, look at what there is out there.

Robert Kiyosaki the author or ‘Rich Dad, Poor Dad’ fame is quoted as saying “Your future is created by what you do today, not tomorrow”

Food for Thought!

Now it is not very often that I will put up a joke on my blog, but in this case it’s an exception. Hope you find it funny, but on a serious note it has a moral to it….Always remain positive and the universe will deliver

A large two-engined train was crossing America. After they had gone some distance, one of the engines broke down. “No problem,” the engineer thought, and carried on at half power.

Farther on down the line, the other engine broke down, and the train came to a standstill.

The engineer decided he should inform the passengers about why the train had stopped, and made the following announcement:

“Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that both engines have failed, and we will be stuck here for some time. The good news is that you decided to take the train and not fly.”

I guess we should always see the positive in things that are thrown our way.

Affirmations – If You Think You Can, You Can!

You can't solve your problems with the same thinking that created them..

What are affirmations and how can they help you get over negative beliefs or issues or even helping you to achieve goals? In this article I will go over some simple strategies that anyone can do to keep them on track.

What is an affirmation?

An affirmation is a positive statement designed to counteract a negative belief that you possess. Often we have self limiting beliefs about ourselves and what we are capable of achieving. These self limiting beliefs often arise from childhood beliefs and circumstances surrounding our early lives or later lives. Often self limiting beliefs become self fulfilling prophecy’s, meaning what ever it is we fear will appear in the present in some shape or form.

How can you get around your self limiting beliefs?

Have you ever heard a little voice in your head as you maybe weighing up whether to go ahead with something or not? DO you hear the pros and cons of each argument, and then go ahead with the ‘logical’ argument. This is part of your self limiting belief and one way of getting around that is to ‘talk to yourself’. I know people say talking to yourself is the first sign of madness, but believe me, talking to yourself in a good way will stop the negative thoughts and begin to replace them with positive thoughts.

There are several ways that you can use affirmations which are positive statements written in the present tense and personalized by you, to help you improve your positive thoughts and put feel good factors back into your life. You can write down a positive statement and read it out to yourself each day several times,the more you say it to yourself the more your mind will begin to believe it,it is really effective if you stand in front of a mirror, because your body actions will also play a big factor.

You may feel silly or stupid at first talking to yourself or making a statement you don’t truly yet believe in, and your conscious mind may reject what you are saying as ‘false and unachievable’, but you need to persist with these actions over and over until your mindset begins to change and you believe in the statement yourself. Then you will see things begin to happen that you didn’t think would happen.While repeating your affirmation, also change your body posture, stand or sit up straight, hold your head up and display a confident posture.

Another way to capture affirmations is to record your own voice, these days you can do this on your mobile phone, or on your computer. Again, listening back to your affirmation over and over will also help drill this message down to your sub conscious.

Mediation and affirmations are a great way to change negative mindset into positives, there are some great CD’s or downloads available for music players. Louise Hay is a great author of affirmation techniques, there are others to which you may like, just go on Amazon to find out.

Self Development – Fear of Success is Much Greater Than Fear Of Failure

How many times have you failed to achieve success? Do you feel that there is something deep seated within you that is stopping you from getting that success. Sometimes we need to take time out and look at what is holding us back.

Many times, our conscious and sub conscious minds do not agree with each other, for instance I knew a person, let’s call her Sophie, now Sophie was in Network Marketing, she had joined this company a year ago, and at first seemed to do very well. She steadily climbed the matrix but after a year only got so far. She hadn’t changed her methods which she had used when she first begun and what made her successful in those early days, however,the leads and people seemed to have dried up.

Now Sophie contact her upline as she was instructed, and between them they went though her numbers, her activity level and her advertising strategy, but to no avail. Sophie appeared to have reached a pinnacle where she could not move no further. She eventually got disheartened and left that Network Marketing company after only 18 months, but it didn’t put her off Network Marketing, she had this urge to work for herself, to be able to gain financial freedom one day.

With that dream in mind Sophie went on to join another Network Marketing Company, and again she done really well in her early days climbing quickly up the programe, however, just before breaking through to the level that would have made all the difference to having a full time job or being independent working for yourself, Sophie stalled again. This time, she had a great mentor who was monitoring and seeing her beginning to stall, she took Sophie to one side and gave her a real heart to heart. Her mentor and Sophie discovered she had a dreaded fear of being successful, because it meant her dreams would come true, and for some reason Sophie had been suppressing this, and the fact that success always happens to others not to her. The reason SOphie had done so well in the beginning stages was the fact that her dreams and hopes where aligned and that she was focussed on this matter, but when the reality started to set in and Sophie could see herself becoming successful, her ‘drive’ and ‘passion’ suffered which in turn affected her business.

Do you have this fear? Do you fear to become a success? Could this be what is holding you back? How do you overcome such fear, and can you?

Many of us want to be financially successful, to work for ourselves and not work for others, but how passionate you are about this sets out the difference to those that succeed and those that partially succeed. You do need to keep focused and keep that ‘edge’ and ‘drive’ to be successful, if you emit success, it will drive other successful beings to you. You may have heard of the saying ‘like attracts like’, this is particularly true as the universe has a way of showing up others who are similar to you, and therefore whatever you emit is what is attracted to you, good or bad.

Network Marketing as an industry is getting more and more competitive,but the market is so diverse, there are a multitude of services and products out there that will suite almost anybody. What ever your industry, what ever your product of services, the key is to have a strong ‘why’, and to have a successful strategy and business plan, and to be able to keep your focus and your goals in sight.

Be clear on what it is you desire

If you believe firmly in what you are doing, your purpose in life, and keep taking positive steps down the right path, my friend, you will get to your destination and you will know the satisfaction that comes along with meeting challenges, deadlines, and winning.

In life, the people you come in contact with, you love, and you care about can provide you with a source of inspiration and self assurance that can get you through any day. But remember that your actions can sometimes affect them in a positive or negative manner, and have an adverse affect on the present situation at hand. When you keep these people close, you can find a special incentive to live a healthier and more productive life which will help you keep control over your emotions, your situations, and personal actions so you do not do harm to yourself or to others.

Eqalitarianism! Friends’ ” Life is your playground”. We need to learn to use it and not abuse it. We only have one life, why not make it the best life possible. We as individuals have choices in life of how we want to live, who we want to love, who we want to be, and we have the ability to think for ourselves. Sit down, close your eyes, take in a deep breath, and think about how to live your life as if you had a free pass.

Mindset – How Do You See Things?

Everyone Sees Somthing Different

How we perceive things is all down to our own pespective and our own experiences and reality. Everyone has a different aspect on ‘reality’ and what it means to them. Although we live on the same planet, in the same town,city or road as others do, each and every one of us sees every life and situations that arise differently.

There are some people who are always seeking opportunities out of negative situations, and many of these people are successful at doing so. It takes a certain quality to see positiveness out of what could be construed as a negative or bad situation.

Optimists tend to always see the good in things, and how to best use the opportunity presented. Sometimes their enthusiasm can turn a pessimist around.

Then there are others who only see the negative side of life, and are always moaning about one thing or another, most of them cannot see the wood for the trees and many have a self defeatist attitude.

So if you want to improve your current mindset or your business productivity and get yourself out of the doldrums, you need to recognize or search for the opportunities being presented to you and making a decision to go for it.

To demonstrate, you will perhaps have heard this very old story about two salesmen who were sent to Africa by a British shoe manufacturer to investigate the market potential out there.

The first salesman reported back, “There is no potential here – nobody wears shoes.”
The second salesman reported back, “There is massive potential here – nobody wears shoes.”

This simple story is a great illustration of the difference between positive thinking and negative thinking. You either see the glass half full or half empty. Life has a way in throwing us curve balls, and how we tackle them is up to the individual. You either see a situation’s problems and disadvantages or you see its opportunities and benefits.

Key to moving forward and becoming successful is to taking action when an opportunity presents itself, as it may not be around for long.

The same can be said for MLM or Network Marketing, how you see a situation can make or break your business. I have heard of many people who have started an online business only staying on board for 3 – 6 months and quit because they thought that the market place was saturated with other similar business opportunities. Or that the business they chose to do did not fit in with their market requirements. What they failed to comprehend was the fact that there are similar businesses online, but there are equally lots and lots of niche markets waiting to be discovered and explored.

If you do have an online business which seems to have ‘stalled’ look for the opportunities in the market place instead of making excuses why your business is not working or making money.
