Three Tips To Help You Get What You Want

Why do we wait until the end of the year to reflect? Reflection should be something you do on a regular basis. Checking if you are where you thought you would be at that point in time, or being who you said you wanted to be.

Having Resolutions is not the cure. How many of us have made that mistake of making a resolution and not being able to carry it through beyond the first week or two of proposing it. Why set yourself up to fail in this way.

As we move into the New Year 2012, take time out to look back on your achievements, your failures and your non achievements. You can get what you ask for, but you need to know these three important things first. The law of attraction works, but only if you believe and know what to ask for.

What have you got to be grateful for? Being grateful is something that the law of attraction recognises, to not take things for granted. We should all take time out to look at things to be grateful for.

Me, I'm grateful I have such a great family. You see, this year has been a tough one on the family front. My mother was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia. I had noticed her forgetting little things, things she had placed and couldn't remember where she had placed them, this I put down to 'old age' after all she is 84 years old. Then other little things came up, like the repitition of a sentence in short periods of time, the attention wandering, the tears of frustration and anger, something which was totally alien for my mother. I have always known her as a strong woman, a strong believer in God and the church, patient, loving and ever so thoughtful as only mums can be I guess. So it was hard to see her change in these ways. But, when the rest of my family, aunts, cousins, siblings began to 'step forward' and offer to help with looking after her, this made me feel humbled and overjoyed at the fact that I have such a wonderful caring family around me, willing to help and support out of love. Friends also have been wonderful and supportive.

So for me, being grateful for being born into such a wonderful family, who are all caring and loving is what 2011 bought out for me amongst other things.

It isn't until tragedy strikes that you know just how many people around you are there for you. I found this out in 2011.

I lost a couple of great friends in 2011, and this brought out the frailty we all have and take for granted. Life is precious and we should live this day by day and enjoy what you do, day by day. We are after all here on borrowed time, how much time we don't know but the creator up there does…

2. What Do You Want? Knowing what it is you want will help you to focus on how to get it. Many though are not clear on what it is they want. They are not clear because they are too general in asking for what they want. Be specific, go down to 'detail'. As the Great philosopher JIM Rohn said. 'It's all in the detail'…. Remember you get what you ask for, so be careful and be specific to what you ask for.

3. Are you able to let yourself Go? An important part of being able to move forward, to achieve more than you think you can, is the ability to be able to 'let yourself go'. Let yourself go from what was inhibiting you, it could be a mind thing, or a physical thing, but you have to learn to 'let it go'.

Trust your instincts, don't be afraid to take the step that will set you free. It's is not until you are able to 'let yourself go' that things begin to happen.

In the beginning of 2011, I let go of what was holding me back with regards to having a great relationship. As soon as I made this promise to myself in January of 2011, I met a fantastic man in March of that same year. I believe meeting him was not fate, it was what I had asked the universe for and it was brought to me.

The universe can act for you or against you, depending on what you think, how you feel, and your ability to 'let it go' and trust your instincts.

Now you have these powerful tips on getting whatyou want, I would advise that you also take on board personal development, as this has also played a big part in my life, and in most high flying entrepreneurs of today, they all swear by personal development, learning from others before them who have gone through the same path and acheived what it is they wish to achieve and more. If you don't grow, how do you expect your business or your expectations to grow?

I have just entered a couple of online challenges that will push my business to the next level. How? Let me explain.

Running a home business takes time and effort and of course the secret to most business success is the amount of people to connect with on a day-to-day basis. Talking, building rapport is easy to do either face to face or over the telephone. But, online is another thing. I know, it’s not easy and not many are able to ‘crack the code’. There are different ways of generating leads and entering challenges can increase that for you.

Here’s the thing, showing your online presence will take time. Time to build up your social networks, your connections your contacts, your expertise and peoples confidence to the fact that you are a genuine person and not a ‘fake’ or ‘scam artist’.

Several ways of doing this are through first and foremost linking to people who know you, personal contacts. Hook up with friends on Facebook, or Twitter, or other social networks like LinkedIn.

What Do You Do When The Internet Is On The Blink?

Internet Down?

Mum!!!, the internet is not working…is usually the first cry when the internet goes down in our house. My 17 year old comes downstairs into the living in a huff after having been kicked off facebook or twitter or msn (or all three, honestly I don”t know how they do it!)

It gets pretty tense in our house when the internet connection goes down, I am not sure what it is like in your household, but either your smart phone or your lap top or desk top or PS3,Xbox and the like are internet connected. We are becoming a nation of internet geeks, and the slightest inconvenience when the internet goes down, seems to make the household stop.

So if you have your own home business, or online business, what do you do if you have no internet? Time to look at your internet business downtime plan. Internet business downtime plan you may ask in amazement, yes that’s right a list of things you can do without the use of the internet to keep your business on track.

Let’s see, your word program, or powerpoint, does not need the internet, so you can get down to writing some articles, or email autoresponders. Let’s face it your not tempted take a peek at facebook, or gossip on twitter, so you can actually be more productive without the internet.

Other things you can do without the internet is to produce training videos. Sometimes just having time to step back and think about where you are going with your business or where you want it to go, planning, reviewing and looking at the next steps are best done with out internet distractions.

So, just some short ideas of things you can add to your down time plan, I am sure you can think of more. So the next time your internet does down, have a down time plan at hand to switch over to on a contingency basis. Not only does it keep your business going, it also helps to keep you being productive.

So the next time your internet is down, you don’t go into a panic, just move over to using your downtime plan!

Getting Your Home Business Ready For Summer

My Home Grown Bell Pepper Plant

Now I love gardening and growing things, but I wouldn’t call myself a seasoned gardener. I use it as a way to relax and chill. I grow my own vegetables, not a lot mind you, but a nice variety that me and my family love to eat.

Now when you tend to you garden, like I do you eventually see the results. Beautiful coloured flowers, bushes that flourish, fruits and vegetables growing healthy side by side, and the pleasure of watching the squirrels, birds, bees and insect have as they play in this wonderful coloured playground. But all of this takes time and effort and planning.

It’s about this time of year that the garden is waking up from it’s deep winter sleep, and now is the time to get busy planning on what activities you intend to carry out in the garden. Plants don’t just happen to grow themselves, unless they are weeds of course!

So, just like what I do in my garden, I plan for business growth January. I take time out to sit down and look at what it is I am setting out to achieve, to do or be. In otherwords, where am I going to be, and what things am I going to do to get there.

If you want runner beans in August/September you need to start by preparing the soil,making sure the ground is fertile enough to aid growth for any young seedlings you put down. You must also be the same with your business. Prepare the ground, this could be getting your website in order, your email notifications updated with any new campaigns you are running, new ventures you are thinking of promoting. What ever it is start doing the groundwork.

If you haven’t the knowledge right now to get to where you are going, do the ground work and learn, book yourself on relevant courses, or look for free sources of information online that will help you build your knowledge in order that you can then begin to apply it. Only by applying what you learn will you ever understand and achieve anything.

Setting a good foundation early is the key to a good harvest later on. So if you start to build up your foundations in your business now, be consistent with your advertising and marketing, have a strategy of where you are going with them, learn along the way and keep nurturing the business, then your rewards will soon begin to show. It’s about showing love, caring for and nurturing, your garden needs watering and weeding, so does your business.

Occasionally we need to prune the plants,in order for them to grow in a particular direction. Look at what is not working and remove that aspect from your marketing or advertising strategy,we have to be constantly weeding and not letting them get hold, as you all know once weeds take hold they strangle things and takeover.

Once you have established your seedlings, you need to provide nutrients on a daily basis,otherwise they will wither and die. That is a common mistake by MLM or Network Marketers,thinking if they set up a campaign online,they can just leave it. WRONG! You have to keep it going, make sure it is fresh content and up to date.

We have all been there, you find a great business online or offline, you phone up or get in touch, you get excited by the possibility of making a ton load of money, the person on the other end of the phone makes it sound so simple and straight forward. Although in your heart you know some if it does not ring true, you are somehow convinced this is the NEXT BIG THING and if you don’t get on board now you are going to regret it.

Now I don’t know about you, but there seem to be loads of ‘NEXT BIG THINGS’ coming on the market every day, so how can you tell which is a scam and which isn’t. The answer is, you can’t easily, but you can do your due diligence, and properly research the company, your sponsor, their sponsor and so forth. Hey, after all this is the land of the internet, and opportunity so check it out thoroughly before parting with your hard earned cash.

Now, once you’ve gone ahead and sign up for this ‘business opportunity’ you found online or offline, and you have parted with your cash, your sponsor appears very enthusiastic with you for the first couple of weeks or so, then after that nada, nothing, poof, like a cloud of smoke they have moved on to the next cash happy Larry!
