What if you were given a 'Get out of Jail FREE' card'? 

What would you do with your new found freedom? Wouldn't you love to go on that carribbean cruise you were always dreaming about, or visit relatives in far off places, or maybe get a new family car, or a sporty little number just for you?   There are so many things we would do if we had FREEDOM.  Money FREEDOM and TIME freedom.

To many of us are trapped by debt. Credit cards, mortgages, student loans, car loans, you name it, we are just owing money left right and centre. Loans are at their highest rate at the moment, and again only if you are applicable to get a loan.

So if you could be shown a way to help you pay off your debts, would you be interested in hearing more? Or would you just tear up that 'Get out of Jail FREE card'.

And for those of you that are trapped by employers, and working for others, what would TIME freedom do for you?  Imagine YOU being your own boss, working the hours YOU want to work, choosing the people YOU want to do business with!

Sorry to dissapoint but there is No magic pill, but you must have heard of Direct Selling, or Network Marketing right?  No? 

Well Network Marketing in its simplest form is where you use leverage in order to distribute products and services through many independent distributors. 

Now let's look at it another way.  How many hours do we have in any one given day? Yes, that's right 24 hours.  But, by utilising other peoples time and effort and putting that with yours you can have many more than the simple 24 hours there is in a day.  Now bearing this in mind, how much income do you think could be generated?

When I first got involved with Network Marketing, it was a totally alien concept to me, but having leverage to generate extra income was something I caught onto pretty quickly.  Now, when I came into Network Marketing, I was not a 'marketer'.  I could not see myself 'selling' stuff, or talking to strangers, nooooo, this wasn't me.  In the beginning I had to talk to friends and family.  I struggled, badly.  I had to get over this fear of talking to people, and my mentor then, told me I needed to talk to lots and lots of people.  It was pretty scary back then, and if this is your first time in Network Marketing, then times have changed dramatically with the introduction of the internet and social media marketing.

Now there are some Direct marketing systems out there that cost an arm and a leg to join, then you may have to put up with a garage full of products on hand to retail out to your customers.  You may have a 30 day money back guarantee, but what if you are stuck with the products for more than 30 days, do you think that you would be able to send the products back?  Probably not, as they are consumables and have a 'use by date'. 

Now, what if you were exposed to a system where working together in a team that will support and guide and help you start and set up a home business from scratch would you be interested? 

Would you want to take a serious look?

I would hope so, because what would it cost?  Nothing only some of your time.

Having reviewed a number of home business start ups,  most can average between £900 and £1500, in some extreme cases more than £2000.  That is the average cost if you are looking at a generating a monthly income anywhere from £500 to £1000.  The amount of time it takes to generate this monthly income is totally down to you and you alone.

There are mulitple disclaimers about how much you can make from your home business, and there are a number of factors to consider also, such as the amount of free time you are able to spend on starting up your home business, and also the additional expenditure for advertising and getting it up and running quickly.

The additional fees of websites, hosting and autoresponders also come into play, let along having a system to help you generate leads into your marketing funnel.

You don’t have to be nearing retirement to be worrying about whether you will get a pension or not.  These days if your one of the baby boomers, you may find your pension has dropped considerably over the last 5 years or so, especially during the global downturn. 

Most pensions are affected by the global markets, as pension fund managers put the income into stock, bonds and shares.  All which have suffered a heavy blow.

Others may have been wiser and invested in property, however, property has also taken a heavy fall over the last four years, particularly with the sub prime issues.

Recent outcries in European countries have arisen because governments have decided to raise the pensionable ages of when you are supposed to work until.  In France there were riots when the government announced  that the age of pensions will be rising to 62 as part of their pension reforms.

In the UK, the government recently announced on the 29^th of November 2011 that it proposed to bring forward the rise of State Pension age to 67 for both men and women depending on when you were born.

Imagine having to rely on the fact that

a) you can contribute into a private or public fund if you want to

b) the amount you get, is determined by how it has been invested over the time

c) you can’t get to it until you are at retirement age

That sucks don’t you think?

I don’t know about you, but I want to retire on my own terms and at an age that I deem to be retire able.  I don’t want to be dictated to by the state or the government.

I am here to enlighten you. There are ways you can build your own assets and ‘pension’ in a market that is on the increase.  Not many are aware of these assets, but more and more are now wising up to the fact that GOLD and SILVER is possibly the way to go right now at this economic clime.

I have just entered a couple of online challenges that will push my business to the next level. How? Let me explain.

Running a home business takes time and effort and of course the secret to most business success is the amount of people to connect with on a day-to-day basis. Talking, building rapport is easy to do either face to face or over the telephone. But, online is another thing. I know, it’s not easy and not many are able to ‘crack the code’. There are different ways of generating leads and entering challenges can increase that for you.

Here’s the thing, showing your online presence will take time. Time to build up your social networks, your connections your contacts, your expertise and peoples confidence to the fact that you are a genuine person and not a ‘fake’ or ‘scam artist’.

My Home Grown Bell Pepper Plant

Now I love gardening and growing things, but I wouldn’t call myself a seasoned gardener.  I use it as a way to relax and chill.  I grow my own vegetables, not a lot mind you, but a nice variety that me and my family love to eat.

Now when you tend to you garden, like I do you eventually see the results.  Beautiful coloured flowers, bushes that flourish, fruits and vegetables growing healthy side by side, and the pleasure of watching the squirrels, birds, bees and insect have as they play in this wonderful coloured playground.  But all of this takes time and effort and planning.

It’s about this time of year that the garden is waking up from it’s deep winter sleep, and now is the time to get busy planning on what activities you intend to carry out in the garden.  Plants don’t just happen to grow themselves, unless they are weeds of course!

So,  just like what I do in my garden, I plan for business growth  January. I take time out to sit down and look at what it is I am setting out to achieve, to do or be. In otherwords, where am I going to be, and what things am I going to do to get there.

If you want runner beans in August/September you need to  start by preparing the soil,making sure the ground is fertile enough to aid growth for any young seedlings you  put down.  You must also be the same with your business. Prepare the ground, this could be getting your website in order, your email notifications updated with any new campaigns you are running, new ventures you are thinking of promoting. What ever it is start doing the groundwork.

If you haven’t the knowledge right now to get to where you are going, do the ground work and learn, book yourself on relevant courses, or look for free sources of information online that will help you build your knowledge in order that you can then begin to apply it. Only by applying what you learn will you ever understand and achieve anything.

Setting a good foundation  early is  the key to a good harvest later on. So if you start to build up your foundations in your business now,  be consistent with your advertising and marketing, have a strategy of where you are going with them,  learn along the way and keep nurturing the business, then your rewards will soon begin to show. It’s about showing love, caring  for and nurturing, your garden needs watering and weeding, so does your business.

Occasionally we need to prune the plants,in order for them to grow in a particular direction.   Look at what is not working and remove that aspect from your marketing or advertising strategy,we have to be constantly weeding and not letting them get hold, as you all know once weeds take hold they strangle things and takeover.

Once you have established your seedlings, you need to provide nutrients on a daily basis,otherwise they will wither and die.  That is a common mistake by MLM or Network Marketers,thinking if they set up a campaign online,they can just leave it. WRONG! You have to keep it going, make sure it is fresh content and up to date.

Are You On Your Lonesome

We have all been there, you find a great business online or offline, you phone up or get in touch, you get excited by the possibility of making a ton load of money, the person on the other end of the phone makes it sound so simple and straight forward. Although in your heart you know some if it does not ring true, you are somehow convinced this is the NEXT BIG THING and if you don’t get on board now you are going to regret it.

Now I don’t know about you, but there seem to be loads of ‘NEXT BIG THINGS’ coming on the market every day, so how can you tell which is a scam and which isn’t. The answer is, you can’t easily, but you can do your due diligence, and properly research the company, your sponsor, their sponsor and so forth. Hey, after all this is the land of the internet, and opportunity so check it out thoroughly before parting with your hard earned cash.

Now, once you’ve gone ahead and sign up for this ‘business opportunity’ you found online or offline, and you have parted with your cash, your sponsor appears very enthusiastic with you for the first couple of weeks or so, then after that nada, nothing, poof, like a cloud of smoke they have moved on to the next cash happy Larry!

I found this great story online and wanted to share with you all, as it is a great story that projects what the qualities of good customer service, having a positive attitude and outlook can do for your business.

Here goes..

Gardeners Story

A  landscape gardener ran a business that had been in the family for two or three generations.

The staff were happy, and customers loved to visit the store, or to have the staff work on their gardens or make deliveries – anything from bedding plants to ride-on mowers.
For as long as anyone could remember, the current owner and previous generations of owners were extremely positive happy people.
Most folk assumed it was because they ran a successful business.

In fact it was the other way around…

A tradition in the business was that the owner always wore a big lapel badge, saying Business Is Great!
The business was indeed generally great, although it went through tough times like any other.  What never changed however was the owner’s attitude, and the badge saying Business Is Great!
Everyone who saw the badge for the first time invariably asked, “What’s so great about business?”

Sometimes people would also comment that their own business was miserable, or even that they personally were miserable or stressed.

Anyhow, the Business Is Great! badge always tended to start a conversation, which typically involved the owner talking about lots of positive aspects of business and work, for example:

• the pleasure of meeting and talking with different people every day
• the reward that comes from helping staff take on new challenges and experiences
• the fun and laughter in a relaxed and healthy work environment
• the fascination in the work itself, and in the other people’s work and businesses
• the great feeling when you finish a job and do it to the best of your capabilities
• the new things you learn every day – even without looking to do so
• and the thought that everyone in business is blessed – because there are many millions of people who would swap their own situation to have the same opportunities of doing a productive meaningful job, in a civilized well-fed country, where we have no real worries.

And so the list went on.

And no matter how miserable a person was, they’d usually end up feeling a lot happier after just a couple of minutes listening to all this infectious enthusiasm and positivity.
It is impossible to quantify or measure attitude like this, but to one extent or another it’s probably a self-fulfilling prophecy, on which point, if asked about the badge in a quiet moment, the business owner would confide:
“The badge came first. The great business followed.”

Maxed Out Credit Cards, No Income Coming In...

Do you know how common this is? I know alot of entrepreneurs who come into the MLM or Network Marketing Industry thinking they can earn a shed load of money quickly to live this magical lifestyle that their sponsor has projected upon them when they first joined up.

Get real people, these ‘super sponsors’ have taken years to build up the knowledge of what works and what does not work, they have probably been in more than one MLM or Network Marketing business, and have taken more courses than you and I have had hot dinners.  Their investments in themselves do eventually pay off, providing they dont quit!

Marketing methods have changed over the years, especially in the last two to three years,social media is now the in thing, forget about calling ‘warm leads’ and bothering your friends and family.  Unfortunately how many of these ‘old school’ MLM or Network Marketing home business have been able to jump on the band wagon and take advantage of the ‘new wave of social media advertising?’  Herbalife and Avon to name two still sends out a welcome pack with ‘go tell your family and friends’ while it is true word of mouth is a powerful tool, there are ways and means to do this effectively and not necessarily to the detriment of you losing your family or friends

It’s easy to sign up with a new home business venture, but making money right away is sometimes the most difficult part, then trying to sustain that is even harder.  Having a hands on business coach, or mentor and a back office full of video training sessions, live and recorded calls to guide you through the many different aspects of social media, mindset change and advertising is what is lacking in most home business opportunities.  Hence making it difficult for you to make money from your MLM business.

Top reasons for not making money in an MLM or Network Marketing business:

a)  not enough leads coming in to your website or funnel

b) no social media training (i.e. how to market yourself, your products )

c) no mentor or upline support once you have paid your money to sign up

d) no leadership or ongoing support to your or your team

e) ability to make sales to earn income

One community who are showing newbies and people who have previously worked within the network marketing or MLM industry is making headlines at the length of time on average that their members are turning around 5 figure and 6 figure  incomes in under 3 years.  Normally, within the industry 5 – 8 years is the norm for making the extraordinary money to live the extraordinary lifestyle.  So what is different about this community and why is it that the majority of their members are able to profit from having an online home business opportunity that earns them money from their PC?

It’s Christmas Eve, the tree is up, but the lights don’t seem bright, not many presents underneath the tree. There was too many days in the month of December and not enough money and many feel really hard up at this time of the year. . Credit cards are maxed out and ‘tired’. How many times have you felt like this? An important event arrives and there is never enough money to do what you would really like to do.

Once upon a time, this was me. I just had enough of feeling that I could not give my kids the Christmas that most kids dream of. I worked 9 til 5 in the corporate world of Banking and IT. Being a woman and working in the ‘old boy’ network was difficult enough. I knew I could only earn so much where I was. It’s like that in most jobs isn’t it, we all seem to reach the ‘glass ceiling’ when it comes to earning, that is where so many of us decide to get a new job and move on. Many however, accept the fact that they have reached the glass ceiling but are grateful they have a job at all, therefore are more than likely to stay in the job until something drastic happens in their life.

Frustration had set in, I felt helpless at what I could do to earn extra money, I felt I had little or no time when I came home because my full time job demanded so much of me. There comes a time however where you have to either go for it or just stay with what you have. I had dreams, and none of those meant me working for an employer, so I made it a point of going online to find out how I could earn money using my computer.

The Grinch nearly got my Christmas due to all of the above, don’t however, let him get yours…

Time goes too quickly....

The days seem to go too quickly and if you are someone who doesnt manage their time too good, it may seem as if you have done lots,but not achieved anything substantial. Running a home business required precise time management skills as most of us run a home business part time while having a full time job, home, kids and partners to attend to.

You are not ‘superman/woman?’, but what can you to to ensure you are effective with your time.

Top Tip One:
What’s relevant? what’s insignificant? sort out the tasks that will give you a positive return in your day rather than attend to those tasks that are insignificant and have not real benefit.

Top Tip Two: Can you delegate? If you are able to delegate a task, then go ahead, don’t be shy to ask for help.

Top Tip Three:
Are your tasks written down? Or are you an air head and try to remember whats what? Top tip here is to write down your tasks somewhere so that you can see how meaningful they are to your day, or towards you achieving your goals/ objectives of the day.

Top Tip Four:
Give yourself time to reflect during the day and to get yourself back on track. Even though we may have written down our tasks / objectives, depending how the day goes, we can get off track, which is OK, but we need a mechanism to bring yourself back into focus of your tasks / activities.

Top Tip Five:
AT the end of the day, look at the tasks which you did not achieve, and look to see which relevant ones you can bring over for the next day. Make it so that these are the first tasks completed the following day.

Take time to plan your day, as it will more than likely help to keep you on track with what you should be doing.
